RC Club - Championship Race#4 and New Marquee

Another beautiful day on the water and the first sail from under our new marquee funded by the Moreton Bay Regional Council because they demolished our previous venue.

The breeze was pretty consistent all day until about 2:30pm when it dropped right out. So needless to say, we pulled up stumps early. The weed made its presence felt several times, but not to the extent as previous sails.

Congratulations to Les, Myself, and Jason on our podium finishes. Results attached for everyone's info.

Jason set the course further to the west to keep in front of the new shelter. He set a Triangular Course, giving us a triangle, windward return, triangle whilst keeping all buoys starboard. This course did not need changing during the day.

Mark broke a boom on his Swing Rig and I got to see parts of the lake I have never seen before when retrieving his yacht after it took off to the west.

Our next sail is the Tom Petrie Trophy, a Handicap Event for All Classes of Yachts on next Sunday 8/06/2023. That gives us a week turnaround, trust Mark can get those repairs done.

Hope to see everyone next on the lake.
