Sail Racing at Lake Samsonvale

Racing at Lake Samsonvale is on every other Sunday during the warmer months, and about once a month during Winter. There are a variety of series including the spring, summer, winter and marathon series, with the club championship being calculated from those results throughout the year.

In addition to these club based races we also hold The New Year's Regatta.

Each race holds a variety of mixed class sailing divisions to support everyone from classic monohulls to performance catamarans.

While racing at Lake Samsonvale is abundant in skilful sailing and quality competition, it is also very casual and welcoming for those who are new to racing. Sailing is great fun for the whole family or with friends.

Do I need insurance to race my boat at LSWSA?

Yes, Third-party liability insurance, and racing-specific policies are necessary to cover the risks involved. Standard boat insurance policies may exclude racing-related claims, so it's essential to check the terms of your policy or consider a specialized racing insurance policy.

At this stage the club does not offer any craft for hire.
