RC Club - Tom Petrie Trophy
Congratulations go to Trevor, Mark, and Stuart, well done. Stuart knocked me off the podium with the last race when I had to retire with low battery in the boat.
As you can see the scores were very close and if Bruce had not have had electrical problems early in the day, he would have been right amongst it.
What sail to use, was the big question and which ever you chose, it was the wrong one. We were up and down with different rigs for most of the day.
The breeze was fairly consistent from the West and no changes were required to the course. Bruce set the old international course of a triangle giving us a triangle, windward return, triangle whilst keeping all buoys to starboard.
We sailed from under our new shelter once again which provided an excellent view of the course. I think if we would have tried to use a shelter closer to the water’s edge, it would have been blown down the lake.
Trust everyone had a good day. Our next sail will be Championship Scratch Race Heat 5 on Sunday, 22/06/2025.
Hi guys, despite me having boat troubles I had a great day. Thanks Stuart and Trevor for bits that got me going. Bob and I saw this deer while returning to the sailing shelter.
