Spring Series Races 1 & 2
Last Sunday saw the start of the spring series of racing at LSWSA. We had 12 competitors and we had a decent 8-12 kts of North Easterly wind which made for some great sailing even though it was a bit difficult to get a genuine windward leg in.
Race one saw the wind direction causing a wind shadow around the start finish line which bunched a lot of boats together on the downwind leg and made for a great battle to the finish line.
On race two the wind was up a little stronger making for some good hull-flys from the catamarans on start and some fast times with frequent lead changes. Of course the safety boat was on duty with Ferdinand and Lachie volunteering their time but not being called on for any reason other than to take some great photos.
