Winter Series #3&4

Just nine skippers and 4 volunteers arrived at the lake for the third and fourth races of the winter series. The weather forecast was for showers and 3 knots of wind. We may have had 5 knots when the rain came in but only for a minute or two. Both races were shortened, and all skippers did extremely well in the conditions.

There were a couple of close finishes with some boats 30cm between them on the line. Not exactly riveting to watch, but well done to all that gave it a go.

Thanks very much to our wonderful volunteers Rob and John on the rescue boat. Lock was on video/drones for the day and Marina and I ran race control. Sorry I didn’t toot everyone through the finish, but still learning the ropes. cheers J.
