RC Group - 2026 Lake Kurwongbah Trophy,

Skippers, Please find attached the results of yesterday's sail.

A small fleet of 4 boats contested the 2026 Lake Kurwongbah Trophy. This was a Championship Event for the "M" Class.

Running the event was in doubt during the week both due to low boat numbers and the predicted inclement weather, but we managed. Ian took out the trophy, followed by Bruce in second place, with his new keel, losing his old keel in the middle of the lake last sail.

Rain persisted all day and the breeze was all over the place, needless to say, there was very little fiddling with boat settings during the day. With the unpredictable breezes, it became very frustrating as well.

The next sail on our 2026 calendar is Handicap #3 on Sunday 22nd March 2026. We have several of the regular members away on this day so this event may be in doubt due to not enough boats on the water, will keep you informed.
